About

I have always had a creative entrepreneurial spirit from childhood to the present.  Born to a mother who immigrated to the US from Cuba at the age of 19, not knowing a word of English, and a father whose roots went back to Kentucky moonshiners, the spirit of freedom and scrappiness runs in my blood.  I have always felt that there is a solution to any problem and more importantly our inner knowing and creativity will lead us there.

I can remember being captivated by the process of creation such that the outside world would melt away.  If I could think it and if I could draw it then in my mind it could be created.  I remember sketching a helicopter as a six year old child and attempting to build it with wood scraps some neighbor kids and I found.  I was certain that this helicopter was going to fly!  Well even though it did not achieve lift off I look to embody that same spirit today.

Art class was a through line throughout my schooling culminating in winning the Young Artist of the Year award my senior year of high school. Each teacher taught me art in their unique ways and perspectives which allowed me to continue to shape my craft.  Fine art and film photography in college allowed me to see the world in new ways. I expanded my knowledge of different mediums under the guidance of a professional artist couple that started their own school a number of years back.  I will always continue to refine my craft, be it taking a new class, exploring a new technique, and of course playing with all the fun possibilities.

Whether creating a stand alone art piece or a custom installation I truly feel it an honor to give something of my heart and soul to add beauty to as many spaces as I can.
